The Rover 75 V8, introduced in 2004, was a distinct and powerful variant of the well-established Rover 75 line. In an audacious move by MG Rover to infuse their executive saloon with a new level of performance and prestige, they equipped it with a Ford-sourced 4.6-litre V8 engine - the same powerplant found within the iconic Mustang muscle car. This marked the return of rear-wheel drive to the model (necessary to accommodate this significant increase in power output over its four and six-cylinder siblings).
Limited production numbers made the Rover 75 V8 an exclusive offering at a time when MG Rover was navigating financial difficulties. The vehicle showcased unique modifications, with updated front suspension components and bodywork alterations like subtly flared wheel arches, hinting at its hidden muscular capabilities beneath the elegant exterior. The interior maintained luxurious appointments characteristic of the brand while offering drivers spirited performance seldom seen in Rovers since the famed Vitesse models of previous decades. This marked one of their most intriguing final acts before MG Rover's unfortunate demise in April 2005.

As the British motor industry contracted, Rimmer Bros expanded to ensure the continued maintenance, restoration and enjoyment of many beloved classic cars no longer supported by their original makers. Our support, starting strongly with Triumph, extended to include Rover SD1 models in the 1990s, and later expanded to cover Land Rover and Range Rover models, reaching up to the present day. In 2005, our commitment grew to encompass more modern MG-Rover cars and by 2012 we further extended our range to include Jaguar models from 1996 onwards. This growth reflects our dedication to serving the diverse community of classic and modern British car enthusiasts.
